I told him to go to a doctor but he already did. I guess it didn't help. What we can do to stop his gas because it's making me nauseous and in effect, is disrupting my education. The teacher and principal are not listening to my complaints.

MadderThanTheHatter - yes you are right, my teacher and principal are not too bright. In fact, I would say the same about our vice principal and most of my teachers.

He needs some gas pills. They are sold over the counter at most drug stores and when you take them they help to stop the farting.

Buy him charcoal tablets from the health store and ask him to start taking them as directed....the charcoal may not lessen the gas, but it will decrease the odor. Another thing he can try is taking Gas-X an hour before you have class together.

If the doctors say they can't fix it, then it is probably a problem with his diet...maybe you can start doing some research for him and provide him with dietary guidelines that may help. A good place to start is the eat right for your type diet...cured my husband!

Make sure you do all of this kindly. While it may be a problem for you, put yourself in his shoes and imagine how you would feel if you had this uncontrolable & very embarassing condition. You don't want to make him feel persecuted, only like you care enough to help him resolve the situation for his own good.

Your teacher and Principle don't sound to bright.

Ask your Mom or Dad to write the Principle that he makes you feel uncomfortable in his personal hygiene habits and ask that they give you a new lab partner.

He is doing this on purpose, some yogurt, bacterial pills take care of extra gas. The bacteria live off the unabsorbed food in the intestinal tract and prevent gas. Waste treatment plants use bacteria for the same reason.

The good news is that one day his "ballooning" intestine will turn into diverticulitis. Then he'll be sorry.

This is a little bit funny, but tell him to get anti gas pills or something. some people just can't help it, but i don't know if you can actually like, complain about someone's gas. (in all seriousness, i think the principal/teacher would think you were being a jokester.

Tell your parents because the teacher and principal will have to listen.

LOL !!!!

put a fish in his bag - so he'll take the smell home with him.....or....just pinch him every time he farts and when he tells the teacher, just say its a nervous disposition you've developed due to being traumatized by feeling nauseous as a result of smelling someone else' farts....OR...trick another student into changing places with you - and may I suggest you get the agreement in writing and not ask a good friend.....

Im a teen and i like to make things fun when figuring out a problem. HOw about you guys make up a experiment of your own. Come up with a hypothesis such as. My lab partner eats ________ and this is why he has severe gas. Then test it, and then test other foods. Make him stop eating those foods and see what happens. Keep going till you find the answer. Yeah it may seem like im being sarcastic but i mean it. It prob will be fun

Tell your parents. Parents have an enormous amount of sway when it comes to teachers and principals. If it's really becoming that detramental to your learning, then tell your parents, and have them take it up with the teacher or principal. Oh, and tell him not to eat cabbage or broccoli!

There isn't much you can do besides telling your teacher and principal. If they are not listening to you, ask your parents to talk to the school board. For the time being, try wearing perfume to help cover it up.

This is embarassing for everyone including the teachers! I would suggest buying him a cup of mint tea & one for yourself before class that way the mint will help him work through the digestive issues.

He'll still be gassy but it will be less & less stinky as the mint does help dissolve that sort of thing & helps overall.

I would also suggest that you take him aside (perhaps outside) & tell him that although you understand this is an embarrassing issue for him, that you are uncomfortable in the environment.

Perhaps some solutions would be for him to take some walks outside, or for you 2 to sit outside more & work together? & To suggest to him to start drinking mint tea & to see his doctor for some solutions.

well, be careful if he lights up the burner! ha ha! just a lil' lab humor...beano is good stuff-tell him to try that! i'm not surprised about the teacher and principal-they're most likely old farts themselves. just try and work with your partner and if you can't handle it, try actually getting sick somewhere near the teacher. that might prompt some quick action! good luck!
