I run, so the nano's a good choice, but I like a lot of music, so 8gb might not be enough. I don't care about video, but the full size one can hold all my songs.

The video iPod is may be the best choice if you're considering buying an iPod. The 8GB nano holds 2,000 songs while the 30 GB video iPod holds 7,500 songs. Both of them are the same price, so you might as well buy the iPod that holds the most songs. Plus the video iPod has more features than the nano.

Well the Nano's the only one with the armband accessory so unless you wear something with a pocket that zips up while you run, a fullsized Ipod video might not be the best choice.

i think you should buy the mini. its perfect in size, and i love music too, i have about 1000 songs on my itunes, and it all fits onto the mini. so you should get that one, if they still sell it.
