Y seams (or set in seams) can be a challenge. So much so, that many people use alternative piecing methods to accomplish the same effect. The first link below explains how to do a Y seam for the Attic Windows block, which is very similar to the Baby Blocks (or Tumbling Blocks). The second link is for a Tumbling Blocks pattern that is paper pieced, avoiding Y seams entirely. The third is a strip piecing method that doesn't include Y seams, using a special triangle ruler. The fourth cuts the offending corner square into two (slightly larger) half square triangles, sews the triangles to the side pieces, then sews one straight seam through the half square triangles and continuing to the edge of the side pieces.

Good luck - Baby Blocks quilts are adorable. I included a link at the end of some photos of other quilts in that style - just for inspiration.
