The Earth does not orbit the galactic center, per se. The Earth orbits the sun, and the sun along with another 100 billion suns orbit the galactic center.

As far as I know from reading, the sun's orbit is not spiralling.

The Earth does not orbit the Milky Way, it orbits the Sun, while the Sun orbits the center of the galaxy.

No the orbit of Sol around the center is the milky way galaxy is basically circular, although it is somewhat inclined, we pass through a denser set of stars periodically (millions of years)

Spiraling in what way? It's roughly a circle, but we may be moving "up and down" in a slow wave while going around.
