The oldest literary work is certainly a compendium of knowledge.
Remember that Vedas were not written for modern Science curriculum. They talk about the truth (science and knowledge) at much higher level. Also, Vaidic Sanskrit is highly poetical and full of figures of speech. Every shlok may mean various things and can be interpreted differently by different individuals.

yes .obviously our veda's have more information than our modern science.. because what our modern science have today that all has define in our veda's. modern science has just inheritate some theory form. there r a lot of things in veda's yet our modern science has not able to prove that.it is in every field of science i.e space ,medicine,architec,phylosophy n many more.compare our helicaptor with puspak biman of ravan. missile with the powerful arrow used by ram,laxman,ravan.
