how do i make a maple guitar neck not feel so sticky?

the back of the neck has a heavy finish and my hand doesn't slide very easily. it feels a little tacky. i keep is clean, but the finish is very heavy.

Put a little talc or baby powder on your fretting hand... just make sure to wipe down your neck and strings when you're done.

Try this.Cleaner/lubricant "Kyser".It work very well.I had the same problem with my bass.I got the lubricant in the store ( instruments store) also is very cheap and smell great.If you can't get Kyser try another brand.In Texas we have Kyser.
