I start it up and after it loads the windows xp bar it goes black and restarts. i tried system recovery i dont have the cd, i tried to start in safe mode doesnt work.. what can i do?

That could be buggy drivers such as goofy modem software or video drivers or it could be bad memory or hardware. Get it into a shop. Another had a similar problem. He found that his power supply was bad. Unless you have the knowledge and equipment to isolate the problem, get it into a shop. Good luck! With Win XP, the same symptoms can be caused by many different things.

This could be a multitude of things.. Have you installed anything recently? This could be hardware going faulty or may be just a corrupted installation
