I don't know if I can just leave this kind of things outside next to the trash can. Can I? I am not sure where to take it. I live in San Diego, Ca.

Advertise it for free. You'd be surprised what people will haul away for you.

Check with your local Department of Sanitation and Waste because the laws are different everywhere. Where I live, in Alabama, we cannot dispose of things by leaving them on the street. We have designated dumps that we have to take items such as that.

if these things are still useable try contacting a womans shelter or halfway house to see if they can use the furniture. my mom recycled our old toilet into a flower planter in the back yard, along with an old claw foot tub and i must admit they look pretty cool.

In our area [Indiana] the local Goodwill and Salvation Army organizations will pick up large usable items like those.

Try looking in newspaper or phone book's yellow pages for hauling services / garbage pick-up / landfill hauling. You may have to pay someone to haul it away.
Or call your city's sanitation / garbage pickup / landfill offices and ask them what you should do.

Carry it to the dumpsters and sit it on the outside.
Or if u have garbage collectors pick up garbage just sit it by your trash can , they will dispose of it.
