I have got an Accounts recievable job in allstate insurance. The HR is saying 70% time i need to do calling and settle accounts and rest 30% doing processing work.

Can anyone tell me will this job be less stressful then collections/recoveries job?

It sounds about the same type of work. But what usuallly makes a job stressful the the people around you. It's hard to tell. Who is paying more? Which company will be around longer? Who offers more benefits? Look at those things.

Here's my take - WHO are you doing the calling to? Is it to other insurance companies? Suppliers? To me - that's not a big deal. If you're calling Joe-consumer-on-the-street then yes, I think that this job would be just AS stressful as collections/recoveries.

Sounds stressful as you will be asking ppl for money owed therefore will be as stressful as collections/recoveries in my humble opinion
