I bought a roll-neck sweater in about 1978 and it still comes out year after year but it won't wear out though it must have been washed hundreds of times. Good old BHS!

I should add that this is the only thing I have that is that old!!!

I have a coat I bought about 18 years ago, every few years in comes back into style so I keep it. Best value of anything I've ever bought and I think the oldest, but without checking through wardrobe I wouldn't know for sure, I do have shoes and bags that go back to the 60's!

That is a good question. I am 26 now and was born in 1981. When I was about 12-13 i bought this jumper pants set, made of 100% cotton. I still wear this. And it looks almost as good as it did when i bought it. The color faded some, but no tears or wearing. It's the most comfortable thing i have to wear. Also makes me feel good to know i can still fit in it after all these years.

i have 3 t-shirts i got in 1996, and i wear them all for bed, 2 or 3 nights at a time, and have no intention of throwing them away until the area taken by holes, is greater than the area of remaining material! ;-)

I have a dress back from 1997. Its a sleek elasticated black shoelace dress with at the time floral embroidery fashion design on side.

I always kept it for just in case...
