I Have a 83-Ti Calculator that rounds off the Squareroot of 7. is there a mode i can set it to give me answers in decimals

Hit "Mode" then highlight "Float". Hit enter.

Hi. Sqrt (7) = 2.64575131 . Your calculator can set the number of places after the decimal point. Check the manual.

Hit the mode button. You will see display digits,
Set it to float however many digits you want (up to 12)
If I put float 1, then it will only give me decimals to the first (tens) place.

if you have a fraction you push f then it has 2 arrows going oppsite direction then it has a d push that then that will give you a decimals

hit math --> then select "frac" or "dec"
