some animals became giants from the single celled organisms that started this process, some stayed small. But some big ones are dumb and some small ones are really intelligent. So is it more amazing for a Giant animal that is not so smart to come from one cell or an amazingly smart lifeform coming from such a simple beginning?

Its all just evolution. No matter the size, "intellectual" evolution is just the observed result of the brain physically evolving.

Intellectual evolution is amazing and it's all down to one gene called ASPM that controls brain growth. Each successive mutation of this gene over thousands of years triggers an increase in brain growth and the amazing thing is that a new variant exists which lies dormant in those people who have it so the human brain hasn't yet developed to its full potential.

Hi. Both processes are amazing, in my opinion. If physical size has a survival advantage the creature will thrive. If smarts help a creature to survive then THEY will thrive.

Since it's a matter of opinion, either one can be considered more amazing. I think they are both remarkable.
