Should I tell? If I do and she doesn't get fired, I have to work very closely with her; What I should do about that?

I think you must be very sure of your information and have documented it with date, time etc. You KNOW what you SHOULD do and if she doesn't get fired, then do you really want to work for a company that allows that?

Informing appropriate authorities about illegal activity isn't the same as being a tattletale when you're a little kid.

You have an obligation to let your employer know.

As for "what you should do about that" -- what do you mean?

It's for the employer to deal with her, but, assuming she isn't canned, be careful what you leave on your computer in the future.

It isn't for you to "punish" her if they don't, if that's what you mean.

Giving some hint of a clue as to what you mean would have been helpful.

I would discuss this with a manager that you trust. Your co-worker attempted to violate the privacy of another co-worker and break the law. This is unacceptable.

I would go to your boss. It should be kept confidential. This person should be reported for what they did.*
