It depends on the version.
The Japanese original has 296 episodes, but the US version only has 276.

ok, well in the Japanese version there are 291 episodes and in the US version there are 276
then there are (and I'm not sure on the language part) 13 movies and 4 specials. I don't really know the difference between movies and specials but hey!
and then there are more if you count Dragonball and Dragonball GT
