I would go with the kids feelings. I am all for forgiveness but this type of thing puts your whole family at risk. If he is this disrespectful of your home and children disrespect will rear its ugly head in other ways. Remember if he is smoking pot he most likely storing it on his person and in your place. Get him out now.

Well its hard to quit doing drugs. If he says he will quit, even if you have known him for a while, don't believe him totally until after he quits, that way if anything ever happened, you would be able to trust him. Just make sure he definitely quits, and that he doesn't say anything like "oh I'll quit next week" , or "I can do what I want." Just honestly say that you are looking out for him, and that you don't want anything bad to happen, drugs cause consequences.

Does he have a lease? Is it stipulated in the lease that he cannot smoke pot? Of course not. Tell him you will call the police next time he smokes dope on the premises.

Yes. What's so bad about pot? Now if he actually causes damage other than his personal choices, kick him out. But if he just smokes pot, let him. He's not actually doing anything bad.

yes, I would give them another chance but make sure they realize you will involve the law the next time. you could be in trouble with the law for letting them stay. definitely follow thru with the threat if it happens again.

Give him another chance. Pot shouldn't be a huge issue but make sure he knows if it occurs again, you'll involve the law. After all, even if it shouldn't be, it is illegal.

Second chances are silly in that situation. You're in legal jeopardy in today's legal climate. He almost certainly KEEPs marijuana around, and that's enough to get you in trouble.
Talk to your lawyer now!
