Witch hazel is a mild astringent that is used on the face as a toner, as well as helping to control oily areas. But it doesn't stop there. Properly distilled witch hazel of good quality can be used in hair care and other hygeine issues. It can even be used in eyecare! You can also make witch hazel tea. Studies have also suggested that when taken internally, witch hazel has anti-inflammatory effects and can be useful in treating eczema.

it's an astringent, which is a fancy way of saying it helps get rid of oil. it's a plant extract, so some people prefer it to more medicinal things like benzoyl peroxide (stridex, etc.) if you have excess oil on your skin, it'll help clear up acne, and help keep it clear. if you use it and find that you get patches of dry flaky skin, that's normal, try to avoid applying the witch hazel to those areas. keep it well away from your eyes and mouth, too. if you're trying to clear up a case of acne, try the milder facial cleansers before resorting to harsh astringents. they can be pretty irritating. if you try witch hazel and end up with any kind of rash or redness that probably means it's not for you, stop using it. if you don't have some pretty severe acne, you really don't need it for anything. if you've got oily skin, but it doesn't cause acne, it just bothers you that you feel greasy or look shiny, just try blotting the oil off throughout the day. there are special blottong wipes you can buy in the health and beauty section at most stores, but before you go spending $$ on them, try just using plain old kleenex, just not anything with lotion or other additives.

'Dickinsons' do a Witch hazel skin care selection and are available maximum shops, inc Walmart. it incredibly is a mushy selection so does not dry out your pores and skin too lots. Witch hazel is solid for greasy skins because it incredibly is a organic astringent and enables eliminate extra oils and airborne dirt and dust from the exterior.

my friend used that time for his face because he had an allergic reation and he had to go to the doctor and get some medicine to help the problem so in some instances I think it can help, but with an allergic reaction I think you should go to the doctor.
