Are art galleries interested in drawings?

If so are metalpoint acceptable (silver or gold) or is lead and charcol more acceptable, trying to break into the field, thanks

Yes, they MUST be, because I have seen numerous drawings in galleries that I have visited over time--- and they wouldn't have been there if someone wasn't interested in them !!!
