It depends on the complexity of the job but if it is a standard paint job - approx GBP 1,000 plus materials, suggest you agree fixed price for labour and make sure you get copies of receipts for materials - remember any paint left is yours
You could try website below for good quality tradesmen - remember the cheapest price does not always get you the best job.

anywhere that isn't London £500 + material costs, in London £800 + material costs, plus whatever other rip off charges the southern pansy wants to add on.

100 a day for regular paint job is fine.
