No I think it is very considerate of them indeed. Do we afford the French the same courtesy this side of the channel telling the French to drive on the left hand side I wonder. And that fact that they are at ferry ports is good as most Brits when they drive off of the ferries will either be ill from sea sickness or drunk so this is just reminder to keep our wits about us when driving in France and beyond.

No just common sense. You have a lot of UK drivers who are used to driving on the left coming off the ferries, it is just a pragmatic road safty measure.

No - It's to stop complete carnage on the roads when halfwits get off the ferry.

We have French signs over here telling them to do the opposite

no it saves on accidents. i live in spain and see pple with english plated cars driving on the left bare in mind they must have driven through france to get here and still get it wrong
