When charting... Whenever you see a dip the temps have to stay high for 3 days afterwards to determine that's your ovulation day. My ovulation day is not the lowest dip on the chart. Try www.fertilityfriend.com... the first month is free and when you put your temps in, it will chart it for you. Then after 3 days of high temp it will show you what day you ovulated. It keeps track of your intercourse and everything. IT's a great program to see how your cycles are. Also by having intercourse to much can lower sperm count. So the stressing and to much intercourse can make your chances slim. What I was told by my doctor is try not to stress and have intercourse every other day and you should hit it if nothing is wrong. I hope this helps. Try that website out with your charting. It also tells u if your chances are high that month. Good Luck!!!

I'm a little confused about your description of taking BBT. When I was charting it would start low, spike about .5 to .75 degrees the day before ovulation, then dip back down the day I started my period. Make sure you are taking your temperature first thing every morning at the same time, before you even get out of bed to use the toilet.

Also, it just takes some people longer. With our last child it took 12 months to get pregnant.

It would be advisable to cut down on caffeine, and start to eat a diet that will eat when pregnant. Start taking either prenatal vitamins, or at least a folic acid supplement.

Sounds like you are stressing about it. Are you ovulating? You can get a period and not ovulate, just as well as not get a period, ovaulate. Also, it might not be you. It might be your partner has low sperm count or low mobility. THere are several factors. It also doesnt happen right away with everyone. Studies show that most ppl it takes up to a yr- some longer to get pregnant. Take your time and dont stress about it. 5 mnths is nothing compared to other ppl that I know. I myself have been trying for 6 mnths, when it only took 1 mnth with my daughter.

maybe you should try ovulation prediction tests as well as testing your temperature,as the temperture thing has room for error like if you have a cold of move too much or even talk before taking your temp it can alter your results. also try and cut out the coffee if you can, as i have heard its better to cut down on caffine for women who are ttc, but its ok for the men to take it as it helps with mobility of sperm..
good luck! and try not be too dishartened.5 months really is not that long! i know it seems like forever, when you want your baby right now, but honestly its not.

I would stop charting and pray to god. Because god is the one that gives you the child not a chart. Good Luck!
