When I am composing an e-mail and when I hit the enter for return
I get a double spacing and when I just type it i get single spacing but if I hit enter for return to another line it double spaces. How do I change that? Please I know it sounds like a stupid question but I do not know how to change it to a single space. Thank ahead for your time and trouble in the help.

I'm trying to send mail in yahoo, mail client. Not using computer based e-mail client.
Sending e-mail is the only place I have noticed it.

When you compose in Yahoo, do not hit "return" at the end of a line. Text will "wrap" to fit the screen.

In Word, you set your margins and do not hit "return" at the end of a line. For single spacing, Select all, then click Format, Paragraph. Toward the right, see "line spacing." Click the down arrow and select "single." To the right of that, type 1, then click o.k.

You didn't specify which application you were using. Look for a Format menu and a Font or Paragraph option.
