I think it is because that cricket is the pansie version of baseball.

I have to agree with tino67 and shannon_w, plus a couple other poits they missed out. Comparing baseball and cricket LOL. In baseball one batsman's innings last, what ten minutes, if they're unlucky. Oh my God, how can they concentrate for such a long period of time. (oh i forgot most of that time they not even facing the pitcher) a batsman's innings in cricket cna last for hours. (Brian Lara batted for 10 hours when he borke the world record.) Granted there are breaks every two hours, but htat is still a lot longer than 10 minutes. Perhaps, i prefer cricket, because it requires a little more intelligence. Baseball, you either try to pitch it as hard as you can, or hit it as far as you can. Hence, the prevalent use of steroids. However, no performance enhancing drug has ever been created, or will ever be created that will help you bowl a better googly, or drive through the covers with exquisite timing. That takes skill, dedication, patience, and a lot of practice.

Those who are ardent lovers of cricket do not feel that cricket is a boring game. One Day and Twenty/20 games are not at all boring while some, who are not ardent supporter of cricket, may feel that Test Cricket is boring.

I take it you people have not watched the short version as in the ido and the 20/20 version of the game. 5 Days is a game for the learned in the ways of cricket and nothing better than a 5 day game.

haha funny, boring?
seems like baseball fans havnt watched twenty20 and odi cricket,
and pansie? lmao, this is coming from an american baseball fan, where gloves are used, ball is lighter, and pitcher isnt allowed to hit the batter.. i think that would be considered a pansi sport
i dare u americans to watch these and ask your self how would Albert Pujols or Arod stand up to a 92 mph bouncer?

Btw there is no free pass in cricket, batsman would either have to retire from the field or stand up an face another one.
What happens when a pitcher slightly even grazes a batter? btw i know the answer i want u to explain it to everyone else. ;)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVahW3Dv9dM (Btw he suffered a Broken Finger)
how would David Wright catch this..? remember that lame bare handed catch he took lol, from a cricketers perspective that was a joke.

Simply stated, it can sometime take as long as two weeks to complete a match. I spent some time in England and to my amazement found this to be the case. It's worse than watching a fence rust!!

Boring sport? What were you smoking? It's better than baseball, nine guys on a field scratching their butts waiting for someone to hit a ball.
