i've been looking for this song for a while, and i found the original, by crowded house...but the song i heard years ago was sang by a girl, or group of girls...but i don't kno who.

The song is called Don't Dream It's Over. I think it was back in '02 that they covered it. Check their name on Wikipedia, you should be able to find it. Good Luck.
