John Kerry speaks for John Kerry - and has since he spewed out all of his garbage about the troops in 1967 at the Congressional hearings.
What a douche bag! While trolling for his next rich spouse, I'm surprised he didn't hook up with Jane Fonda.

I think most people misunderstood what he said. He was making a reference to the fact that in the service there is a great discrepancy between the number of servicemen who come from the ranks of the rich and educated and the poorer citizens who have less educational opportunities. This has always been the case - especially during the Vietnam War when your family position could buy your way out of serving. ( Remember George never stepped foot in the jungles of Vietnam.) Yes - the way he said it was somewhat insensitive but sometimes the truth hurts. If you don't think it is true - count the number of Congressmen and women who have sons serving in Iraq. Bet you can do it on one hand. Is that just a strange coincidence?

He wasn't calling the troops dumb, he was calling George Bush dumb. Read the context of the speech. He was right George Bush is dumb. So are you.

As usual the liberals will lie and defend the so called "botched joke.' Kerry did call them dumb and has stood by his statement. To watch the left stammer and stutter saying "that is not what he meant to say" is completely laughable.

certain John Kerry ought to renounce from any theory of ever growing to be president. I desire he would renounce from politics all mutually because he has shown himself to be a hypocrite and a traitor over and once more beneficial, and considering our u . s . and our troupes deserve a more beneficial advantageous chief than John Kerry ought to ever be. besides the undeniable fact that, considering i'm a Republican, i'm satisfied that his little slip up hurts the libs.

Yes. For all their high-sounding words about our troops, these socialists hate the military and all it represents. Clinton even wrote of his "loathing" of the military. Don't let these people fool you. They may say they support the troops, but if they really did, they would cease badmouthing the war effort which emboldens the enemy and gets more of our guys killed.

I believe Mr. Kerry did as he said, "flubbed a joke". But it sure did work out good for the other side. It was God smiling on the repubs.

Isn't this another attempt to smear and misquote what was said. Mr Kerry's joke was an attempt to say to Uni. Grads that education gives you options and most people join the military to be gainfully employed and be trained in some skill, whilst putting their lives at risk.
If they had gone through the route that you and I had done, they wouldn't have to put their lives at risk. This is true, isn't it? We had more options..right?
