We aren't. Only 51% supported Bush in the 2004 election.
That means 49% of us are NOT stupid.

I wouldn't say stupid either, the thing is when you come and live here you get the feeling of a somewhat isolated country, what I mean by that is they seem to have only an image of what it is like to live in say England or Germany for instance, and that is usually one what they have seen at the movies, and that is as much as they need to know as far as they are concerned, if you try go into any detail then they give you a look of " I'm trying to look interested but really I don't give a rats *** about your country" comes across their faces, so no again I wouldn't say stupid, more like blissfully ignorant is the best way to describe these strange but on the whole friendly good natured people.

So you want us to answer an opinion that is so generalized without any arguments behind it? Put reasons behind your argument and you will get a better answer. Like Abortion, War, or dancing in the streets wearing little to nothing and flashing each other (Mardi Gras). We have 300,000,000 people here. For most of us to have anything in common is unsusual. Even the same way of stupidity. By the way every person is stupid in their own way?

First of all you must be a foreigner because of your improper grammar. It should read "Why are most Americans so stupid?" But you already knew that because YOU'RE so smart huh! Yes answerman we did vote for Bill Clinton twice but he seemed like a regular guy.

i wouldn't say stupid, but i would say ignorant.
the school system in this country sucks eggs. you wouldn't believe the stuff i've recently learned about that i never learned in school. and this is important stuff!
