I need to know this because my Daughter Ashton never has fun on the river she just sits there on the boat not doing anything at all.I just feel so sorry for her!

Ashton is 10 and yes she dose like to use the video camera, she may like that idea!!

How about getting some reference books on river geography and the evironment as well as plants and fish and marine animals. Get her to write down or draw pictures of the animals fish and plants and see what she can find out about them. Like a game. She might learn something and enjoy herself.

How old is Ashton? If she is a teenager she may be sort of committed to not having fun. On the other hand, whatever age she is she needs someone her own age to hang with. Does she have a camera or video camera? Maybe she would accept an assignment to document the trip. She could just write, if she is so inclined and present a report at dinner every day. If she starts getting laughs she may have found a way to be engaged in activities that don't initially interest her.

Well I'm 11 and on my boat I water ski kneeboard water tube wake board are all fun. Try taking one of her friends along I'm sure she will enjoy hanging out with her friend while cruising you can make party platters. It would be fun!

she needs another kid her own age to come along. can she swim ? if so get her started on waterskiing. my two kids used to complain about having to come along then the boyfriends came too and everybody had a good time.
