The EU is not our freind and will prove so in the future. We are becoming the Bad Guy for just about the entire world.

See. If the Russians were still a military threat to the Euro's... they would still be our buddies.

What damage has the EU done? It seems to have united and stabilized a great deal of Europe. By converting to one standard money value (the Euro) they bring FURTHER stability to the region.

Bush thinks the EU is so cool, he's trying to do the same thing here in the States with open borders to the north AND south.

He doesnt talk about it too much because people wonder about "open borders" and Homeleand Security.

Sad to say but the EU is the latest version of the old Germany. The U.S. should have never let them Unite East and West Germany, any one with half a brain should have seen the outcome. The war in the Middle East currently being blamed on U.S. aggression is in all actuality the rise of the fourth Reich, or is it their fifth, I forget. They did with Euros what Hitler failed to do with bombs, at least in Europe. How they fair in there efforts to "globalize" the rest of the world will depend on whether the American public realize the EU is buying the industrial base right out from under their arrogant American noses.

I'm not European but I am completely against the EU.

The irony is that I am a liberal and support their beliefs... see, the EU will not let countries like Turkey join because they discriminate against ppl... like gay ppl for example. They also have a problem with Turkey invading Cyprus, etc... among limiting freedom of speech.

BUT with that said, I DO NOT like it nor agree when any group of thugs FORCES another country to adapt to their beliefs. And then if Turkey doesn't adapt, they punish them by not letting them PLAY in their playground.
