She is already dead.
Her mother dies next.
This way they can talk to one another about the person Meredith is destined to be. And they get to say their I love yous.
Afterwards Meredith comes back to life and learns it was not a dream.
Her mother is really dead.

finally a passionate topic! i swear i think about this every day! sorry im not writing with apostrophes or capitals but i just cut my finger and its hard to type. no, i dont believe she will die. i dont believe that izzy would say all that stuff ("i believe she will survive, i believe that she is strong enough...etc") just to later in the show have meredith die. plus that would mean no meredith and ellen pompeo is the best actress OR actor on the show. also you know that the last scene, where meredith wakes up next to denny and the bomb squad guy who are both dead, is just a dream. i mean what kind of show would try to show a scene where someone is living in the afterlife??!! that doesnt make any sense. meredith CANT die...PLEASE NO!!!!!

Okay so here's my issue, if she doesn't die....won't she have severe brain damage and not be able to be a surgeon anymore? She was under water for however long, flatlined however many times, looks like she hasn't had any oxygen for close to an hour......I'm no doctor, but I'm pretty sure she's gotta be brain dead. Oh and her mom is a total @%&# so if she eats the big one, that will be so much better for the show....but Meredith has kind of grown on me so I hope she doesn't die.

If she dies then there is no justice in the world. Maybe then it will be Grey's Autopsy, or even Grey's McAutopsy. If I had to guess, then I would say that there is more chance of George being gay, or Burke being homophobic than there is of Meredith dying.
It will be interesting to see which music they pick for the funeral.

no, she cant die. i think her mama is gonna die though. i think all the docs are going to says shes dead but the interns some how bring her back to life. maybe a coma or she might wake up. i think she does talk to the bomb squad guy and denny about life and such, but its like time on earth is only a second in heaven. awww... it was sooo sad! i felt horrible for derek.

Well since it's called Grey's Anatomy , I doubt they would kill their main character. It's a cliff hanger.

I feel the same way, but i believe that she will go into a coma for a few episodes because the show has her name in the title and she narrates it.

well i didn't get to see last weeks episode but i'll watch it this week. just keep in mind that the show IS named after her, and most likely will not die unless they're planning on canceling the show. and there are more episodes scheduled.So my answer is- HECK NO!
