That is the basics as I know them from Smallville, and the Novel "The Death and Life of Superman" there is almost 70 years of Superman information from his first appearance in 1938. that includes multiple monthly comics, novels, Films, Tv Series, Cartoon shows, and they typically only cover his life from 25-35 as Superman so you have 70 years worth events occuring within 10 years of story. that has since been sorted into Gold, Silver and Bronze ages as well as Pre/Post Crisis and multiple earths.

i will enable you already know why John Cena ought to be the main suitable WWE celebrity staggering now simply by fact love him or hate him, all of us communicate approximately him. that's what Vince relatively needs. The worst element that could ensue to a wrestler is to generate no buzz. fulfillment in professional wrestling isn't all approximately your in-ring skills yet extra approximately your aura and mic skills. Hogan, Rock, Triple H, Austin, Cena...what do all of them have in uncomplicated? they might all rock the microphone. I even have by no potential seen all people get carry of extra interest than Cena. the clarification for that's basically that there are equivalent factors that love and detest "the Champ." Sting, Austin and Hogan have been particularly much unanimously celebrated via the followers so there replaced into no debate to tension the hype. From the time I even have spent in this wrestling communicate board, i might wager the form of posters might cower int the shadow of the lots of a purely "John Cena purely" communicate board. I comprehend the actuality that John Cena the two recognizes the cheers and the boos, and that on my own incredibly makes him between the greats in the corporation.

jansend41 has given a pretty good answer, but there is something I would like to add to it. You put off doing your homework until you only had an hour left to do it…? Try that on the job and see how long you last before you’re standing in the unemployment line!

Get a little shirt pocket notebook and keep a list in it of the homework assignments that you get every day.

Finish all your homework, every day.

No Yahoo Answers until you finish your homework. You’re not the first one that has tried to get everybody else to do his homework for him.

I don’t want to see you wind up with a dead end job and lots of debt someday. I’ll be watching.

There are several different people called Superman:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superman

Superman - Kal-L the original Superman from the Golden Age that was later rectonned to be the Superman of Earth-2 that disappeared at the end of the first crisis (later revealed to be in a paradise pocket dimension) and seemingly died in battle with Superboy of Earth Prime in Infinite Crisis. He was born to Jor-L and Laura, and worked for the Daily Star before marring Lois Lane (who also seemingly died at the end of Infinite Crisis after spending time in the Paradise Dimension). He was a founding member of the Justice Society, and his cousin Kara became Powergirl. His Earth no longer exists as it was destroyed in Crisis.

Superman - Kal-El of the Silver Age from the 1960's until Crisis. Was more powerful that the current version, and had many one time powers. He never married Lois. He had a career as Superboy before becoming Superman. He served as a founding member of the Justice League, and was as Superboy a member of the Legion of Superheroes in the 31st Century. He had Krypto, and his cousin was Kara Zor-El, Supergirl.

Superman - Post Crisis reboot, was the man that was born to Jor-El, did not have a career as Superboy, but may have done some things similar to what has happened in Smallville, he died in battle with Doomsday, and later was revived by the Eradicator and re-powered in Battle with Hank Henshaw, the Cyborg Superman. He was a founding member of the JLA, has a partial clone (Connor Kent, Kon-El, Superboy, who is deceased after battle in Infinite Crisis) has had several Supergirls (latest being his Cousin Kara Zor-El of Krypton). He is married to Lois Lane. Was friends with Lex at one time. Meets ZOD.

Clark Kent of Smallville – Has not worn his uniform, but has been friends with Lex at one time. He is interested in Lana, and has a friend Chloe that has not appeared in any other medium. Fought ZOD. He has not flown yet.

Superman of the Movies (Superman, Superman 2/Donnor Cut, Returns) has a son, has different reasons for powers, has fought ZOD. Is not married to Lois, and not known by Lois to be Superman.

Superman of the “Timmverse” – Superman from the Superman cartoons that fall into the continuity with the Justice League and Batman Cartoons. He is slightly powered down, and has died at one time. Fought Doomsday before, but was not killed. He has a pseudo cousin, Supergirl Kara In-ze that is now living in the future with the Legion of Superheroes and will be a member of the Justice League for many years to come.

Superman of Legion of Superheroes – Is basically Superboy, except cannot be called that because of the trademark to the name no longer being owned by DC. He is still unsure of himself, and has not fully mastered his powers.

There are many more Superman’s, from the Superfriends, the old movies, the 3rd and 4th movie that no longer is considered part of continuity, and many other versions.

So, to wrap him up into one, your best bet is to pick the Superman of the Comics Post crisis and go with that continuity, but it is best to know the other versions as people will possibly get those confused as well.

Superman's history encompasses seven decades so it's really hard to write a good summary...check out this page for starters: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Superman.

I think you should've started earlier! There are so many versions that it's almost impossible to list them all. However, I think the episode with the most significance is the one where he "dies" fighting Doomsday, and his previous return from the "dead."
