You should consult a female OB/GYN on this matter. She would have the upper hand on the subject and would be somewhat of an authority on the subject. I personally think your boy friend is insensitive.

They are a silicone based device that is shaped similar to a male condom but is larger and has a stiff but flexible ring on both the closed and open end. The ring of the closed end is inserted into the vagina and the open ring extends outside.

While they do seem safe and it does allows women the opportunity to take control of birth control it has not been as well tested as have latex condoms for men (simply because they have not been around as long).

Besides, I think men shirk this responsibility too often and he needs to be active in birth control too. It's not just up to the woman.

The male condom is more effective against pregnancy than female condoms. If your bf really cares about you, it won't matter to him if he has to use a male condom like everyone else does. He should just try to be as safe as possible and use the male condom.

I've tried them before and it was like having sex with a sandwich baggie in there.

If used correctly, they are supposed to be as safe as male condoms. However, they are a bit more of a hassle and more expensive. If your bf has an aversion to male condoms, try these instead. Just make sure that whatever protection you choose, you use it consistently and correctly.

They are extremely uncomfortable, and very difficult to use, as well as much more expensive. I don't know who came up with the idea of a female condom but they need to rethink the whole design.

they are a larger condom that lines you inside so that your bf won't feel as confined.......if they are used properly they are supposedly as good as the male condom but I don't think the male condoms are easier to get on right. look were they sell male condoms and most stores sell the female condoms right there.

P.S. they used to be more expensive....

It's a bigger condom which fits over the uterus to stop sperm from entering. My guess is your bf is too lazy or selfish to use a condom for himself. It's easier and more effective for him to use a condom than it is for you

I never heard of a female condom, but I have heard of a diaphragm. You get this from your doctor/gynecologist. Make sure he uses a condom if you're not on BC pills. If he doesn't want to use them, then tell him...No glove...No love!!!!!!!
