you have 2 problems there. a million. Voltage; 2. Frequency. for this reason, the two are against you. NZ has 50Hz mains frequency at 240V. while you're relatively fortunate, the transformer might have twin windings on the ordinary, or a 220/240V. faucet. in case you do no longer understand what you're doing, seek for advice from an electrician or electronics tech. to have them examine despite if it relatively is twin voltage, and alter it. The frequency distinction can advise particularly much less performance, the transformer might get a sprint warmer in operation. besides the undeniable fact that it would possibly be high quality. you purely different thoughts are to swap the transformer (get one for twin voltages?), or use a 240/110V stepdown transformer basically before it. The stepdown transformer might desire to have a adequate means score for the pastime.

Oops! shoulda posted this one in Jokes & Riddles. Just replace the heating element. Chances are the thermostat is fine. New idea, clean and dry it very well, then have your wife or a blonde neighbor return it. Tell them the reason you want to return it is you didn't like the color!!! lmao

no pun intended, but chances are, if you did that, the boiler is cooked and would take a complete teardown and overhaul to bring it back to usable.
