A second is defined as 1/60th of a minute. It is a definition, so it doesn't need proof.

Because 1min is equal to 60 sec but for a microwave it works differently if you look at the clock it has 60 sec to make it 1 min eg. 12 to 1 is 5sec then 1 to 2 is 10 sec and if you keep going and when you end up at 12 again you have 60 sec and for the microwave the sec is counted differently eg. 30 sec + 30sec =90sec not 1min and 30secs 60sec+60sec= 120sec not 2min 60+ 60 is 120 and when you divide it by 100 you get 1.20 and which is 1 min and 20 sec but don't look at it like 1min=60sec 20sec which will make it 80sec 1min has 100sec and 20sec has 20sec the clock has the timetable of 5 5 10 15 20 25 30 35 40 45 50 55 60

It is a question on conversion. like 100 cm = a meter. So by definition 1 minute = 60 seconds. Nothings to prove. But if you want. A revolution of the earth around the sun equals 365 days an a quarter. (hence every 4 years we have a leap year). On So off the bat you can see that time seems to be a man's invention. One rotation of the Earth on its axis, is approx. 23 hours 56 minutes an 19 seconds (give or take). So no, you cannot prove it mathematically. Because we have 24 hours.

Not mathematically, but try this experiment.

Get a timer or a microwave that can count time. Count with your pulse how many beats your arm makes in a minute. You shouldn't get too excited or your pulse will me racing. Try it again to make sure. I found out that 1.16666666 or 7/6 beats are in a second. I guess they rounded down and made 1 pulse 1 second. I thought that they counted how many pulses are in an hour (which, if you ask me, is very boring) and, 60 minutes in an hour, they divided by 60, and got 60 pulses, (or seconds) in a minute.

It's not something that needs to be proved, because 60 seconds equals 1 minute by definition.

NO MATHEMATICAL DEFINITION...

STANDARD DEFINITION:
The second is the duration of 9 192 631 770 periods of the radiation corresponding to the transition between the two hyperfine levels of the ground state of the cesium 133 atom.

No, time is by definition a human invention. Just look at the many defferent calenders that exist among different cultures.

They are units, units are not proved but standadised.
If you say, 70sec =1min, it also true.
but every one has to accept it, and find way to measure the second, that does not wary with number of trials.

ok i'l proof it bt dere is a condition. u've 2 first proof dat earth revolves around sun nt sun revolves around earth. so if u cn prove it i cn also prove dat 60 sec.=1 min.
