I consider myself to be on the lower end of the intermediate skill level on the guitar. I recently purchased an Alvarez AD70SC acoustic-electric and would now like to find a nice amp in the $150 range; chorus would be nice to have, and I would really like CD inputs. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Crate makes some super amps in that price range, and for the money, they are strong, good tone range and you can find them with inputs.

They make an adapter so you can plug yer git-box into the computer. They even have them at Target I believe. Then you could mix and record what you play (as long as you have the right software...and a decemt sound card with speakers). I've got a Crate GFX-15 that works nicely with my accoustic electric. Iforget how much I paid for it, but it was within your budget I know. Good Luck.

The manager of the local music store (who has been in the music business for many years) highly recommends any of the newer Roland amps, so look for a dealer. Even a used, not-too-old Roland amp would be a good bet.
