What can I do to get my daughter into my custody. Her mother doesn't take good care of her and uses her against me. She is not in a stable home and is with her brother, and even there she is causing problems. She has already moved twice in less that 2 months. I am worried about my daughter and I love her very much. I want to get her to keep her stable and have a roof over her head. I already take her to every doctor visit (her mother doesn't take her), I have taken her to every one of her WIC appts and I go get the food for her. I got her on medicaid and now she won't let me see her because on top of getting the baby what she needs, I am a full time student, I have two jobs, and still try to do things for her. I am at my wits end and need a good lawyer. She doesn't fix my daughter's hair and doesn't bathe her everyday. This is tearing me apart and I want to get my daughter back. BY ANY LEGAL MEANS NECESSARY!!!

You can also file a report with Child Protective Services. That is a serious gamble though. They may decide to rule the home life is fine then you are back to square one. You can also ask the judge to allow you to take her to a psychologist, that might help. If the psychologist determines the mother is harming the daughter you win.

I won custody of my daughter in California about 18 years ago. It was a terrible fight and cost a pile of money even though her mother got arrested twice for drug charges and was homeless for a period. But things have changed, probably for the better in your case.

Good luck.

I don't know how this happened, but...find an attourney with at least 15 years experience, anything less will just drag it out longer. I would recommend you bring him some evidence of neglect from whomever has this child now, and present it to the lawyer, every piece of paper etc you can find. Consult with your lawyer about every detail pertaining to hoe they treat her, etc. Then take all this to court with him.

You get a lawyer, go back to court, present your evidence, and have the judge revisit your custody agreement.

You said it yourself, get a good lawyer. That is the only way you will get results. Trying it yourself will only make a bigger mess
