Instead he tells us to go shopping. We should have a draft. We should have volunteer militias composed of prosperous middle aged US citizens who would go to Iraq without pay, having taken a leave of absence from their jobs. After all, the survival of our country is at stake, isn't it?

A leave of absence from their jobs?

How bout an inability to goto work cause their local manufacturing plant moved to China or some other pollution/Labor lawless country?

The neo-cons witnessed what happens when the public takes an interest in national politics on Nov. 7th. and they can't get the taste out of their mouths---even today. The Dems just threw them a life preserver with the resolution, instead they all grabbed an anchor. An anchor attached to the sinking ship called the Bush Administration. They've got 22 months left to get their act together and work with the Democrats, who through the election, have the majority of the American public on their side. If it takes another mass election to get another batch of their breatheren out in order to get a clue--then so be it.

We have never had a draft every time something was important to our national security. I have never heard him say go shopping in my life, but it is good for the economy & I personally never need an invitation to go shopping. I love to shop. Yes survivial of our country is at stake when the terrorist & wicked in the Middle East band together & grow stronger. They hatred grows & so does their power - they did not & will stop stop with just the Middle East being subservient to them. Where were you in Civics classes? We missed you & it shows!

He just did. We have the force we need. What we need is the economic support of our citizens. So if we're all waiting for this war to end, our economy will stagnate. That would be just as bad as not having enough troops. Our survival includes economic and this is what Bush was urging you to do. Keep your same economic activity going during the war as before. That is asking you to participate.
