...particular at a certain point in our lives because it's the "thing to do" ? Time to settle down ? Tired of playing the game ?

I think lots of people settle and that's sometimes the reason for so many divorces. I don't want to settle. I wonder if we know if we're settling or not ? Usually you don't know until it's too late and that's so sad. I think that's one of the saddest things...two people feeling trapped in a marriage and no real love or connection existing. But people just keep on living this way and settling...to keep up appearances or for financial security, whatever reasons. That is too sad...

Some people ARE lucky and find real love. Some people settle.

Love is very real. It is sooo tangible, that when it strikes, you feel a need for the other person like you feel a need for air and water. But, love changes and evolves over time as well...the initial need and all of the excitement fades and hopefully is replaced by a deeper relationship that can survive the many struggles life throws our way. It is so hard to judge things and try to create absolute rules, because we all know the couple that seemed to be perfect for eachother and then ended up divorced. We just do the best we can based on what we feel to be the right thing and charge ahead.

Love is real. But it isn't easy to find the real thing all the time. So people do settle. But we should all take time to find real love and not settle for second best.

Love is a real thing. People settle for less because they feel their opportunities/time is passing by too quickly and thus choose to love someone instead of it naturally happening.

Both...love is real, however some people do settle if they haven't found that "fantasy partner" by a certain age or within a certain amount of time.

I think that love is a real thing, but no one knows what it is anymore. I think that we watch to much television and expect life to turn out the way it does in the movies. Love doesn't work that way. I think people are so obsessed with falling in love, that they convince themselves that they love whoever they are with. It leads to fast marriages and even faster divorces.

Actually, it's a physical thing. Falling in love with someone causes dopamine in our brain to go haywire. Check this out:
