when will core 2 duo processors decrease in price?

should i buy a core 2 processor now or is there something else awsome coming out in the near future?

Quad-core processors have become available, but only on the extreme high end. Dual-cores will likely decrease in price over the next 3 or 4 years, so I would recommend buying a dual-core now, unless you are prepared to wait.
