I'd go with the Simpsons, but South Park is certainly one of the most controversial and fun shows.

Not the best show, but one of the top runners.
They don't take crap from anyone - not even Comedy Central

No, it's mildly amusing at times... good satire & not afraid to poke fun at anyone or anything.
