I think a man would have to be addicted to sex and social contact of the opposite sex for him to put himself through all that drama.

There's a big difference between dominance and drama. Yes, I call the shots in my relationship but I'm smarter, better educated and a natural leader while my BF is quiet, shy, indecisive. Just a simple thing like choosing what movie we'll see or where we'll eat dinner is harder for him than for me. I already know what he likes to watch at the movies, I know what kinds of food he likes so I factor that in when I decide where we're going.

Drama is an emotional rollercoaster, now I love you and now I don't BS. We don't have that. He knows exactly where I'm coming from and vice versa.

Same reasons some women let men boss them around...sometimes it's low self esteem, sometimes it's just a person who would rather be told what to do than decide for themselves, and sometimes it's to get what they want (by obeying they hope to recieve a 'reward').

Bossy people are controlling...it takes all kinds to make this world turn...a healthy relationship is when the parties in it are happy with things how they are...emotionally healthy people seek balance and sharing in a relationship, it's a team not a boss and a subordinate.

Men like that are disgusting. There is nothing worse than watching a guy having to ask his wife/GF for permission to do something. I work with a guy like that. He tries to act all tough and hard but as soon as his wife calls, he turns into a total wimp. I don't know hw he looks at himself in the mirror.

It's called insecurities. They probably never stood up for themselves when it came to their own mothers. Mothers could be so brutally mind controlling - something men aren't aware of. So when it comes to women they are the same way. Swept along like a leaf in the river....

Sometimes that's a good match for them. I'd never in a million years go for it, but, really, to each their own. Sometimes a woman lets her man boss her around and they're both fine with it. Even dysfunctional people deserve companionship, so they simply find another dysfunctional to find a balance. Of course, they look STUPID in public, but oh well. My mum henpecked my dad into submission, and it sickened me to watch a father, who you want to be a superhero, just cower around a mom's badgering.

They've been raised since birth to believe that women are perfect and men are bad.

Plus they end up in relationships where sex gets treated as a reward they might get if they do everything perfectly.

Of course, since women find this behaviour unattractive, they end up withholding sex more and more, causing the guys to be more and more bossed around as they try desparately to please their partners. and on it goes.

Women are smarter than men. Men know that. And when it comes down to it ya'll kinda like being bossed around. Just admit it!

A realtionship is 50/50. Sometimes I tell my husband what to do, and sometimes he tells me. We both have our place in the realtionship where one is a stronger voice than the other.
