I have blue eyes and fair skin. My husband is Arab and has dark skin and Brown eyes. We both have dark hair. I know our child will most likley have dark hair and darker skin than mine, but is there any chance of he or she having blue eyes? I always wanted my children to have my eyes and my husband loves my eyes too. Is it genetically possible for our children to have blue eyes?

Both of my parents have brown eyes too. Thats why I was thinking maybe my blue eye genes were pretty strong, lol.

This is the best website ever for helping understand eye color and getting the percent chance for different colors. You just plug in you and your spouse, plus your parents and if lets you know everything. Try it and find out what it says.

I believe that brown is the dominant gene, but anything is possible with babies. Sometimes they can have blue eyes even if both the parents have brown ones. Its just chance--you can't say exactly.

its possible. My grandparents on my dads side have brown eyes and my dad is their only kid with blue eyes. On my moms side both grandparents have brown eyes and only 2 of their kids have a different eyes color besides brown (they had 11 kids) and i have blue eyes so i guess i got them from my dad.
But chances are the babies eyes will be brown.
..also my brother is portugese and his wife is irish she has brownish green eyes just like everyone in her family only a few have brown and her aunt is the only one with blue eyes. everyone in my brothers family (dads side) is dark skinned and dark eyes) but my nephew has blue eyes.

I really cant say. I have a 3 month old son....I'm tan complected, honey brown colored eyes, and medium brown hair....his dad dark complected hispanic with dark brown eyes, black hair. When my son was born his hair was dark black and his eyes light brown and very light complected. Now that he's 3 months his eyes are medium brown (a lil darker than at birth), his hair is light brown (lighter than at birth) and he's still very light complected.
