Not much difference. Grades in Malaysia is about 95 to 98, while Singapore has 92, 95 and 98. Malaysian petrols are unleaded, same as Singapore. So, petrol is about the same.

Before you try to top up in Malaysia, you are not allowed to drive over the SG border into Malaysia without at lease 3/4 of a tank to prevent you from buying too much petrol there. It's definitely more expensive in Singapore.

The octane levels are different. The common ones in Singapore is 95 and 98 and 100 In Malaysia, I think 92, 96 and 102 (different brands have different nos). Whatever they are, still worthwhile to top up because of the hugh price difference.
