I stayed with my family in The Summer Place Hotel in Baguio because it was the only hotel with vacant rooms at that time. I am just curious to learn what other people's experience of the hotel are, either personal or hearsay. The peculiarity of the Summer Place is that the street level entrance in on the TOP floor.. cool, huh ?!
(2) Who has flown from Manila to Baguio in Asian Spirit ? How did you guys like the views from 10,000' ??? Superb or what ???? I --I am not Pinoy ( I am English) but I have already realised that the Philippines are not only about Boracay and other important tourist spots.

Haven't triend Summer Place. I've stayed at the Manor Hotel. It has a cozy atmosphere. It's pretty decent if you ask me. The rooms are nice and complete. There's a ref, cable TV, hot water, a nice view. They've a great staff and the food is delicious. And it's near the hip spots as well.
If you want to stay somewhere far from the hustles and bustles of the city then stay in Greenvalley. It's at one of the highest points in Baguio so it's freezing compared to other places.. a great place for relaxation and complete privacy. But if you're the type who loves going out at night it might not be the place for you. It's quite dangerous there at night cause of the almost zero visibility of the steep road due to fog. Other than that, i love the place! The people are so friendly and their breakfast food is to die for. The rooms aren't as nice as the ones in Manor though.
And nope haven't flown using Asian Spirit yet. There's this joke they say about that airline... "Asian Spirit...you fly an Asian, you land as a Spirit." Haha but i hear it's improved a great deal already.

I suggest you stay in Microtel Inn in Engineer's Hill in upper session road just beside the new victory liner terminal,we just stayed two weeks ago and their rate for twin beds is around 3000 with free breakfast. It's just 5 mins walk to sm baguio. And I think if your ride victory liner to baguio they give discounts to them. It's within the city ,but you can't hear the vehicles when you sleep unlike in hotel venice located in the most busiest road in baguio and have fun Although I forgot their number (actually it's my husband who has done the booking for us),you can search their number in the internet.

Go try PKNY Home, a bed and breakfast thing ain't bad at all than going to hotels. My Spanish bf and I spent our pre-xmas (Dec. 2006) there. It was really wonderful! Very homey and private. The rates are very affordable and it includes your breakfast. Freshly picked greens and good serving portions. we even tried their benguet native coffee (even the brown sugar is native) and had our dinner esp arranged for us near the fireplace and roast some mallows too. We even bought some strawberry liquors to bring home to his relatives in Spain and they loved it! By the way, everything there in that place are on sale. The woodcrafts are a good buy (that is if you can bring them home to Manila or to your own country). Cheers!
