I was bitten by a cat once, and a squirrel once. Both times I was too stunned to bite back before they had a chance to run away, but I doubt I'd do it anyway. If I were quick enough to think about it, I'd think "rabies" and not want any additional contact.

ummm no, but i've seen that before too... i've also seen someone do that to their child. I don't and won't do that.... i think it's only teaching that it's okay to, besides I can't imagine all the disease possibilities of biting an animal.

It would have to depend on the animal. As for a dog around the house, yes I would just to show the dog exactly who is the dominate male.

This annoys him, and he then refuses to bite! ;-))
