From 2000 to 2003, they were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. They finally reach the ALCS, and they get swept by the Tigers. Is this finally their year?

You don't replace Frank Thomas and Barry Zito with Mike Piazza and some reject you got off waivers and improve. Sorry, not this year.

Sorry to burst your bubble but no. If there in any other division in the American league I gurantee you that their a third place team. This year of course they will make the play-offs thats given. They will probably be playing the central division winner saying that the wild-card will come out of the central. I don't see them pulling it off against the Tigers White-sox twins or even maybe the Indians.

I would like to see them in the World Series, but I think it will be the same, just the playoffs!!!

Too many teams have gotten better.
Boston
New York
Detroit
Cleveland

any one of those teams should be able to knock off Oakland (IF they get that far).
