If so, how? Someone once told me that pain tolerance is a psychological matter..it's all in your head.

I've heard that people who are more likely to cry out or complain about pain are actually capable of tolerating more. I don't remember why...but maybe there's something about being able to communicate it.
Of course, that won't really work in a place like a dentist's office, will it?...when your mouth is sealed up or noise might distract the person working on you.

I bet if you got enough tattoos and piercings there wouldn't be much you couldn't handle. I think the more someone experiences pain, the more likely they are to have an attitude that it's not really hurting them.

i don't know if it can really be done, but i talked myself into enjoying the dentist giving me shots...i just kept telling myself ain't nothing a wussy with a needle in my mouth can hurt me...i said bring it on..
