Are philips MP3 players good/reliable/etc??

Is this a good manufacturer to look at?
I've heard Ipods = overpriced, creative= break quickly, sony= bad software so what about philips?

I got the 30G version last week, its stunning looking but is a little hard to use and the battery life isn't great, but saying that none of my Mp3 players had the recommended battery life. Oh and I've had two flawless Philips telly's
