If you go to the IRS website, there is a link to FreeFile, which you can do if you made under $52,000. These programs also have packages that you pay for if you don't qualify for free filing. Just go there and you'll see links to all of the different companies.

These guys have free standard return preparation and e-filing for everyone: http://freetax.mortgageous.com and they have free support too. Unlike some places, they don't surprise you at the last minute by charging fees for printing. I also like that they guarantee an accurate return or they'll pay the penalty.
