Your best bet is just to stand in line in front of a store before they open. But there are some other tactics. Some retail stores are still not getting their Wii shipments on their normal delivery trucks, but rather having shipped through UPS. Following UPS trucks to your local retail stores may improve your chances depending on the are that you live in. Also, calling ahead, checking online, and using the 'buddy system' will also increase your chances. By 'buddy system' I mean you gathering up a team of friends, divide them in to groups of three and send these groups to various local retail locations. That will also greatly increase you odds. One more thing, I have found that the following website is very accurate and helpful when it comes to Wii news: www.nintendorevolution.ca.
Good Luck!

The playstation3 and wii craze is over. Just go into the store and pay for it. You do not need to call and reserve one. No need to get on any waiting list. They have them everywhere now

Your best option is to catch a shipment as it comes into an electronics or game store. The next option is catching a good deal on ebay. I paid face value for mine.....nothing extra like an exorbitant price. You just have to be patient and wait for a good deal.

You have 3 choices:
Go at random times to GameStop. They sell theirs whenever they come in.
Go stand in line early Sunday morning at BestBuy, Target, or ToysRUs. On SOME (not all) Sundays they sell them first come first served.
Buy one for an inflated price on ebay.

check best buy, circuit city, target-they should have it. if they dont, reserving sounds like a good idea. but i think if you purchase over online its cheaper, comes with extra games and most likely you will find it in stock.
