You need a Fluval. They are fantastic.
Don't be fooled by cheap other makes or claims of greatness! Fluvals are the best.
They are easy to clean and spares are no trouble to get hold of.
Just don't overfeed or you'll clog any internal filter very quickly!

Good pet shops sell them and I don't mean crap multinationals like Petsmart. Support the little shops, most of them take time to educate their staff. Petsmart is usually full of kids that don't know anything!

It depends on where you live. Try to find a pet or aquarium shop that treats its animals well. You can ask friends and neighbours, or have a look around yourself. How are the animals housed? Do the small pets look active and healthy. Is the water in the fishtanks clean? Do they have wide variety of fish and tanks? Do the staff seem to know what they are talking about? Get a book from the library (or better, buy one) that will tell you what to look for.

In Ireland, Petworld is the best petshop I have ever come across. In the UK, I don't know.

Please do not purchase a fish. till you do a large number of learn by using fact no offense you sound quite unknowledgable (not quite intelligent) with fish. OBSOLUTELY NO FISH CAN stay IN A a million GALLON BOWL!!! no remember what length!!!! The fish could replace into huge and you do not even understand what sort and care it desires. So please wait till you have extra know-how. to help you benefit know-how, ill answer your question. It does not actual remember what length the quite *pump* is, there is extra to an air pump than the pump itself. you in addition to could % air stone and batteries perhaps, and tubes (not sure in the event that they are quite referred to as that). And air pumps in simple terms make extra oxygen in the water and not ALL fish % it. ALL FISH % a clear out although!!!!! Do somewhat some learn in the previous procuring s fish. ok? Edit- mollies could be housed in 30+ gallons. it quite is not important what length the fish is, they have a minimum length tank and a a million gallon isn't it. those mollies get to approximately 3 inches. a minimum of 30 gallons!!!! Edit 2- the dimensions of the clear out does not remember!!!!!!! actual examine on the container for a manner huge it could clear out!!!!!!!!!!

Wal-Mart sells Whisper filters cheaper than any pet store. They are a very good quality filter. I paid about $15 less than I would have at pet stores.

Find a local store that specializes in tropical fish and that has been around for awhile. Avoid the chain stores that are locked in to certain brands only.

At a garden centre - many have large fish areas (not an area for large fish, though coy are pretty big)
