Don Cherry is a senile old racist, bigot drunk and unless you are from Ontario, chances are you think he is a fool. He likes to flash back clips of oh, I said they would make the play-offs or some off cuff prediction which will go back and show him saying so. How about some back clips of all the things that you are wrong about Don?? Never shows those. Last year he said Spezza would win the scoring race and I think he said BIG things like Rookie consideration for Bochenski. Let's see those Don.
Also, he craps all over Crosby because he is not from Ontario and played in the Q. Calls him a hot dog, I think he is trying to hot dog with those stupid suits. I have to stop now because I am getting worked up, thanks alot. Good question though. I could go on all day about this MORON.

No you are not.

He is out of his mind without a doubt.

With that being said he is one of the funniest guys in hockey (if you ignore his rants about European players). He is great at telling stories, especially from his days as the coach of the Colorado Rockies. The stories about his own goalie Hardy Astrom are the best. He wanted his players to try to hurt Astrom in warm ups and one time in practice Cherry dumped the puck into toward Astrom in order to practice a breakout play and the Astrom let the puck into the net. Cherry went nuts screaming at Astrom and all the other players fell down laughing.

He is great entertainment and that is what he is paid for.

Cherry is totally out of his mind but that is what makes it so fun to watch him. Him and McLean are the modern day Abbott & Costello. Grapes enjoys aggravating everybody and getting people talking and that is why people have to listen to whatever he says. Of course often we laugh or just shake our heads but really isnt that the beauty of watching him? And if you can listen beyond the craziness he really has some great points and more often than not ends up being right in his offhand way.

No, you are not the only person who thinks Cherry is out of his mind. I don't think it I KNOW it!! Yes, he is knowledgeable about hockey and sometimes tells great stories (the story of him telling Phil Esposito he was traded to New York is an absolute hoot) but his racism, bigotry and attitude that he thinks he's smarter than anyone else concerning hockey far outweigh his good qualities. Imagine how far out of hand he would be if Ron didn't put him in his place once in awhile.

No, I agree. Especially after openly rooting for the Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Finals last year by wearing the Commodore wig and robe. He may have some hockey knowledge, but h spends a lot of energy on things that are irrelevant.
